This beautiful Red-Crowned Amazon is semi-tame and comfortable around people. The bird will occasionally step up and interact, but is not yet 100% reliably handleable. With patience, consistency, and positive interaction, there is plenty of opportunity to continue building trust.
The photo shows this bird enjoying a fresh apple! We especially like seeing our parrots readily accept fresh fruits and vegetables, as dietary variety provides important nutrients and enrichment beyond a seed-only diet and helps establish healthier long-term eating habits.
